Well, after a suggestion by a family member, I've decided to begin writing a sports blog. Go ahead, welcome me to the 1990's. With so many people expressing their opinions and a multitude of blogging sites (not to mention those ever popular pages... I think one of them is called ESPM or something like that?), what will set my blog apart? What wit or inside information do I have? None. Absolutely zilch. Except, for what it may be worth, my own observations, knowledge and opinion.
Sports- I love sports. Growing up I didn't pay attention to them, and I didn't come off as the most competitive kid. Now, it's my passion and goal to make a living off them. I think that's what hipster would call irony. So this blog is a way to share with the world, er, my loyal readers, er, the people who accidentally stumble across this page my own viewpoint!
"What sports will you cover?" asked the loyal readers. Well let me tell you! Primarily I'm a football guy; that doesn't mean I don't love other sports, though. Occasionally I will throw in a post about a different sport, and definitely during an important time for said sport. Championships, playoffs, controversies, et al. But yes, football will probably be the most mentioned. That's a big reason I've cleverly changed the spelling of 'blog' to 'blahg.' It's a mixture of everything, a melting pot if you will; it doesn't just focus on one topic, no no no! You get so many sports for the low viewing pages of just one! Like extras on set saying rhubarb until it's just blah.
You may be wondering why I am doing this to begin with. To be honest, it's just so I can get my thoughts out there. Much like my Twitter, @CoachFlynn89 just FYI, it's a way to relieve the bottled up mess that I call my mind. Which most of the time is muddled with the competition, the battle, the organized violence we know and love as sport.
With any luck, a sports writer will see this blog and seek me out to hire me! With my luck a sportswriter will come across this page and blacklist me. Don't do me like that Woody Paige! So here it begins, the first post.
